Join in the city’s all-day oyster-shucking bonanza, Oyster Frenzy at the Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant.

The event will feature sixteen oyster varietals from East and West coasts, a shucking competition, chef’s demos, and a public slurping competition and beer shucking championship. Compete for a $3,000 worth grand prize, or just open them at your own pace at this annual celebration.

For those still squeamish about raw seafood, public tastings include dishes like strawberries Romanoff and fried oysters. The New York icon The Naked Cowboy is scheduled to make an appearance too.
